Senior citizen

I was busy in the morning with my unfinished washing so I asked my hubby to go ahead with the children and I would take a bus to meet them later. The bus was crowded with passengers, mostly the elderly. To get there, I had to take one of the buses outside my area. And this bus was actually going to Chinatown. I still had to walk a short distance after I got down the bus.
This afternoon, Daddy(father-in-law) was joining us for
lunch at his favourtite Sizzler resturant together with our god children and their granny. During lunch, the adults sat on one table chit chatted. I noticed everytime when granny talked to him, he answered but did not looked at her. In the beginning, I thought maybe he felt uncomfortable as he did not know her well enough. When I asked him about mummy since she was not with us for lunch. He told me that she would be very busy the whole day with her group of friends and the reason why he came with us for lunch was because he did not like to hang out with her and the group of old woman. Then he continued, " If I knew that granny was coming with us, I wouldn't be here."
